Privacy Policy

1. Overview

SpotySaver (“we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have.

2. Information we collect

Personal data: None. We do not require an account, an email, or any personal information to use SpotySaver.

Usage data: We use privacy-respecting analytics (Plausible or self-hosted Umami) to count anonymous page views. We do not track individual users, set advertising cookies, or build user profiles.

Spotify links: The Spotify URLs you submit are sent to our backend to fetch metadata and audio. They are not stored after the request completes.

3. Cookies

We do not use tracking cookies. We may set a single functional cookie to remember UI preferences (e.g., dark mode). You can disable cookies in your browser without affecting the service.

4. Third-party services

  • Spotify oEmbed - public API to fetch song/album/playlist metadata and cover art.
  • CDN - audio is streamed through a third-party content delivery network.
  • Hosting - our infrastructure is hosted on a privacy-respecting cloud provider.

None of these third parties receive personally identifiable information.

5. Data retention

We do not retain Spotify links, downloaded files, or personal data. Server logs (containing IP addresses) are kept for up to 7 days for abuse prevention and then automatically purged.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we may hold. Since we do not collect personal data, there is usually nothing to delete. If you have a specific request, contact us.

7. Children's privacy

SpotySaver is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, set strict security headers, and follow industry best practices. No method of transmission over the internet, however, is 100% secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of SpotySaver after changes constitutes acceptance.
